Massage is a complementary therapy to be used as part of conventional treatment to maximise performance and well being

If a muscle spasms or tightens it is like having the handbrake on.  Releasing the muscle spasm or tightness therefore reduces the likelihood of injury.

Canine Body Workers use:

  • Sports massage which is a variety of muscle mobilisation techniques

  • Watching the movement of the dog

  • Compare the symmetry and fluidity of movement

  • History of illness and injuries

  • tone of muscles

  • conformation.  How the dog is put together

  • Overall feel of the dog

Chris is a fully qualified practitioner providing

  •  Conditioning treatment for companion and show dogs - increasing stride and symmetry of movement.

  •  After injury – rehabilitation programme.  Encouraging scar tissue to form in the natural direction of the muscle.

  • From Puppies to aged dogs

  • Maintenance  treatment for working  & agility dogs.

  • Myofascial Release Technique

Canine Body Workers only work with vet's permission prior to treatment and assessment.  Issues can be uncovered which need veterinary attention and the owner is than asked to seek veterinary advice.

Massage is a complementary therapy and does not replace veterinary treatment but is as the name suggests, complementary.
